Your tour starts directly at your hotel, Airbnb or chosen location in Amsterdam. From there, you travel in a sustainable Mercedes vehicle to the Zaanse Schans, just 15 minutes north of the city.

The Zaanse Schans Premium tour includes return transport in a fully sustainable Mercedes vehicle, hotel pickup from your accommodation or any other pickup place in Amsterdam, a guided tour at the Zaanse Schans, and access to the Cheese Museum and the Clog Museum. The Premium experience also gives you access to a working saw mill, a photo with calendar and a coffee and pastry. There is plenty of free time to explore the area independently.

Your Journey
Your experience begins at your accommodation in Amsterdam. Your driver arrives at the agreed time and takes you directly to the Zaanse Schans.
On arrival, your guide gives an in-depth introduction to the area: the history of the windmills, the traditional crafts and the role the Zaan region played in shaping Dutch industry.
Because the Premium tour is longer, you actually have time to slow down. You can step inside a windmill, visit a working saw mill where logs are still cut the 17th-century way, walk the full village without rushing, enjoy a coffee and a fresh pastry overlooking the River Zaan and take your photo with a traditional Zaanse calendar — a real keepsake.
At the agreed time, your driver takes you back to Amsterdam.
About the Zaanse Schans
The Zaanse Schans is one of the most visited heritage sites in the Netherlands — and with good reason. The area preserves a working slice of 17th and 18th-century Dutch life: genuine windmills still turn, traditional crafts are practised daily and the landscape along the River Zaan looks much as it did centuries ago. It is one of the few places in the world where you can watch a windmill operating from the inside, see wooden clogs being made and buy genuine Dutch cheese just a short distance from where it was produced. The Premium Experience gives you the time to truly absorb this environment, instead of passing through with the crowds.

The tour price is per person and is all-in for transport, museum and saw mill access, the guided tour, the photo with calendar and the coffee and pastry. Comfortable walking shoes and a weather-appropriate layer are recommended — the Zaanse Schans is an outdoor site and the Dutch weather is unpredictable.
